Interactive installation

In november 2015, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (MAC) was the scene of MuseomixMTL, an R&D laboratory in which participants set out to enrich the museum experience through the use of new technologies. The Musée was transformed into a truly inventive laboratory with creativity, art and technology as its prime focus. I was lucky enought to participate and create this interactive installation inspired by Equatria from Pierre Heyvaert. This sculptor was working on movement simulation so why not bring Equatria to life ?

This project was made with Processing. Motion detection and body tracking made with a Kinect.

I encourage you to watch a short montage of the installation.

Video footage captured by the MAC and posted on their facebook (5800 views)
